Is it a snub if she didn't want to shake his hand?

There is a lot of debate on this site. Some good. Most of it is minutiae.

When Hillary waited until they were together until she decided to walk over a greet Ted, does anyone think  that was an accident? She knew that he would shake her hand, and with Obama standing there it makes a great photo op, to diffuse what has been the biggest endorsement in the primary to date.

At the very least.

But I would like to ask a different question to you Hillary supporters..

"What would you have liked for Barack to do while his most prominent endorser chats with his main political rival?"

For once stop with the rhetoric and answer the question.

Should he have just stood there looking awkward? That photo op would have been a nice win for Hillary.
Should he have extended  his hand when obviously Hillary didn't come over to shake it?  Perhaps, but why? Does anyone here try to shake hands with people who are conversing with someone else?
Perhaps he have felt insulted that she basically walked over, talked to Ted and ignored him? Maybe he thought, SHE snubbed him?

No he did the civil thing. Just try to look away while Ted tries to mend a friendship.

And by the way, how did he 'snub' her, if she wasn't looking to shake his any anyway?

The next thing you all will be saying is that it was a TOTAL accident that she decided to wait until they were standing right next to each before she came over.

If she really was being genuine in trying to display a PDA for her old friend, she would have waited until Barack wasn't around and Ted wouldn't have felt embarrassed.
Or better yet, meet with him privately to tell him , "no hard feelings."

I've seen it several times in one form and another. Usually as a sort of add on to a report about the SOS. I saw it on my barbershop tv this morning. Only half a minute or so.

This whole thing seems silly to me and I don't support Obama.

It seems as petty to me as the claim that Bill Clinton using the name Jesse Jackson to invoke racism or Hillary doing the same by mentioning MLK Jr.

I hope the damage that the supporters of these two are not doing irreparable harm to the ultimate victor.  There is a bad blood on both sides.

Re: Is it a snub if she didn't want to shake his h (none / 0)

i agree - its absolutely ridiculous.

I've been in awkward situations where i felt like i'd rather die than watch two people speak to each other, even if i did nothing wrong.

But is the MSM playing this up?

As much as the blog likes to say they hate the MSM, they always pick up MSM stories and parade it around.

How do you know she didn't want to shake his hand? (none / 0)

After she shook Kennedy's hand, the natural progression would have been to shake Obama's hand. Rather than shake her hand, Obama appears to have turned away. If Obama hadn't turned away, then Clinton would have been borderline rude to not have offered her hand. Clinton wasn't going to "chat" with Kennedy - it was too awkward of a position to hold for any length of time.

So, I expected Obama to stand there while Clinton shook Kennedy's hand and be ready to offer his hand. Good manners is pretty simple.

oh come on (none / 0)

he turned away and refused to greet her.  Why make up imaginary plots?
She went over to shake his hand, to greet him and Teddy and Obama blew it.  He's an idiot.

ABO... Anybody but Obama. I LIKE the democratic party.

Re: oh come on (none / 0)

And you know this how?
Her chief rival and a guy who just slammed her on national TV a few hour earlier are standing next to each other.

With millions of cameras watching, that's the time she decides to be friendly? After her and  Barack already  gave each other the pleasantries  earlier that evening ?

You have been watching politics how long? LOL!
