Ok I don't know how comfortable I am with the skinning of Sarah Palin. I thought the early eagerness to diminish her actually helped her (in the short term) While I knew there was true irony in the fact that this no sex ed, pro life, creationist had a pregnent teen, I also knew it was a loosing proposition politically.
With all those disclaimers, I say...
Sarah Has Jumped The Shark!
See below...
Here is link for those who don't see the video. http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/video/clips/couric-palin-open/704042/?dst=nbc|widget|NBC%20Video&dst=nbc|widget|NBC%20Video&__source=nbc|widget|NBC%20VideoAs John McCain's team makes every attempt to change the facts surrounding the last few days they are running into problems. In a shocking turn of events, the MSM actually recorded John McCain's comments regarding the financial crisis and debate.
See the painful outcome here...
"Don't make excuses for her, That was pathetic"
That was the line of the day.
I know diaries are supposed to be more than this but the video stands on it's own.
The Headline
Deep-seated racial misgivings could cost Barack Obama the White House if the election is close, according to an AP-Yahoo News poll that found one-third of white Democrats harbor negative views toward blacks - many calling them "lazy," "violent" or responsible for their own troubles.
- Ron Fournier, Associated Press, September 20, 2008
The response;
The AP's Ron Fournier: Racial Arsonist and Unethical Journalist
That is the title of the post I am about to link. By now you might have seen the AP article about a poll. The problem, his conclusion are not consistent with the poll results and demonstrate his continued attempts to taint the waters of this election.
After watching "Late Edition" today, I have decided that Wolf Blitzer is either the worst interviewer on TV or has a true medical memory issue. Blitzer is incapable of getting people to answer specific questions, even when his producers give him great tools (video clips to support the question). I'm not sure if this is a result of lack of curiosity or a degrading memory.
Today, Wolf Blitzer goes through the effort of showing the "two" John McCains.
The first clip shows McCain saying that Mayors and Governer are the most qualified for national office because they know the people and their needs.
The second clip shows McCain saying Mitt Romney would need on the job training and that a short stint as Mayor or Govner does not prepare one for the presidency.
More below the fold
Sometimes humor is the best medicine.
This is funny, I enjoyed it, I could fake more filler in this diary but this is the point.
So,
Like many of you, I was shocked with the recent shift in the CBS poll. Obama went from +8 points to even with John McCain in just a few days, the Palin impact!!!
But wait...
McCain/Palin need to be more careful when pandering to special interest groups.
Just now, 9:35 am on CNN, in discussion with a McCain representative and Palin preparer.
Not quote but representation ...
SO- Last night your candidate Gov. Palin discussed her special needs child.
Surrogate- Yes, if Gov. Palin is elected they will have an advocate in the White House.
SO- Well, that's interesting, I received numerous e-mails from special needs advocates in Alaska and they say. Sarah Palin, is not advocate for special needs families, she cut the special needs budget in Alaska by 62%
Surrogate- Well she will be an advocate for them.
SO- So she will do the opposite of her record as Govener?
Surrogate- No one should doubt her word, if she says she will be an advocate for special needs families.
Update [2008-9-4 19:24:12 by nextgen]: Turns out O'Brien's information was incorrect. I'm not sure if she or CNN has commented on that fact but I have seen enough information to conclude she was mistaken.
